Restaurants & Bars
Our energy portfolio is dominated by restaurants and bars. Our team is familiar with the requirements of restaurants and their energy buying processes.

Restaurants and bars need to be aware of how much energy they use. The first is Cold Storage. Cold storage and walk-in freezers consume a lot of energy and must be monitored for how much and when. This is an important factor in structuring our energy loads for Restaurant customers.
Large gas ovens and stoves are also available in restaurants. This oven must be monitored to ensure optimal use and the best way to purchase power and gas. To run bars or restaurants efficiently, you need to have ovens, freezers, HVAC systems, and entertainment systems.
Our restaurant and bar customers are surveyed and analyzed in order to develop an energy buying strategy. We look at the key items of their energy contracts such as late fees and swing provisions.
Our three-step purchasing process ensures our customers receive the best possible proposal.
Step 1
Shop for energy rates from all 75 of our retail energy suppliers. Each restaurant’s energy profile and load are sent to us and we create a customized energy rate. This information is usually sent to between 8-10 suppliers. They then compete for the business of our client. You win when suppliers are competitive!
Step 2
We seek out ways to lower our clients’ energy consumption and decrease their carbon footprint. This process is made possible by a variety of projects, including Demand Response projects, Solar installation, and LED lighting plans. If a project has a reasonable ROI, we review it and present the options to restaurant or bar owners.
Step 3
We ensure that our clients don’t get erroneous fees on their bills because of incorrect tariffs, or simple billing problems from the utility or retail energy provider. Our clients can save thousands each year by doing simple bill audits.
